low-VOC etch prime for warranty repairs -“PPG has fully complied with
Ford Motor Co. aftermarket refinish specifications,” said Gerry Bonanni,
senior engineer, Ford Customer Service Division, Paint and Body Technology
Center. “SX1071 has our full approval to be used for Ford dealership
warranty repairs.”
- Akzo Nobel net profit down
13 percent in Q2 - Akzo Nobel NV, the world's largest maker of paint,
reported Wednesday a 13 percent fall in second-quarter profit, citing weak
demand amid the economic downturn, but shares jumped on news that

rattles lawmakers - In a letter Wednesday to the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration, which is handling the program, U.S. Sen.
Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) said current Wisconsin law does not require drivers

Meeting of Repair Advisory Panel - CCC Information Services Inc. today
announced it held the initial meeting of its new Repair Advisory Panel.

Office of National Insurance last week as part of the latest Systemic Risk

- Few plaintiffs in Ford
case use coupons as lawyers reap millions - So far, the dollar value
remitted to plaintiffs in the Ford Explorer rollover class-action lawsuit
has added up to about $37,500. Meanwhile, squadrons of lawyers from 13
firms from Sacramento to Woodbridge, N.J., have raked in more than $25
million in attorneys' fees and expenses.

insurance companies for replacing the glass on vehicles they had driven,
even when the windshields were not replaced.
