  • National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Declares its Support of 'Right to Repair' - The National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA), a national trade association representing independent automobile dealers, has declared its support of the Motor Vehicle Owners' Right to Repair Act (HR 2057) and strongly urges Congress to pass the legislation on behalf of its over 20,000 members.

  • Shearer buys Lewis Motors - Bill Shearer, owner of two General Motors dealerships in South Burlington, has purchased Lewis Motors, which sells the Acura, Audi and Volkswagen brands. -- Besides the GM dealerships, Shearer owns Shearer Honda in Rutland and Direct Autobody, a collision repair business in South Burlington. With the sale, the Shearer businesses will now employ 200 people.
