Brown for Introducing Small Business Loan Expansion Bill - MEMA
praised Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) for introducing a bill that would
expand the ceiling on certain loans issued by the Small Business

$2 million. The bill introduced by Sen. Brown would increase that

Get Scrapping Checks - In addition to the $3,500 or $4,500 discount
they received on their new car, dealerships like the Ron Tonkin Family
of Dealerships sent checks to customers for the scrap value of their
trade-ins. The government required that car dealers tell customers what
their old vehicle’s scrap value would probably be but didn’t specify
where the money should go. It said dealers could keep $50 of the cash.

contributing to lower used-car inventory - At the Car Hop used car
dealers around the Puget Sound, the problem is not selling used cars. In
fact, the one in Auburn said it's on pace to break sales records for
October. Rather, the difficulty has been finding cars to fill up their
lots.

Deer On The Rise - FORT SMITH, Ark.: According to a study released
Monday, the number of deer-vehicle collisions has jumped 38 percent in
the Natural State and 34 percent in Oklahoma.
Ron Medley, owner of Fort Smith's Medley and Sons Autobody Inc., said he
fixes about a dozen deer-damaged vehicles each year.
